One of the key uses of your Web site community is keeping your users connected. Telligent Community provides users with a number of features that will ensure they stay connected and facilitate communication across your site, including:
- Conversations - Users can send another user a conversation request, which alerts the user that another community member is attempting to contact him/her. This allows them the communicate via email.
- Following - Users can track what other members of the community are doing, without awaiting a response to a friendship request or without having requested friendship at all.
- Friendship - Users designate other users in the community as friends. Friends have unique privileges with each other, and are continually updated on each other's activities within the community.
- [[Status messages]] - Users can create a brief message on their dashboards so that others in the community can see what they are doing. Other users can also reply to the status messages.
This section contains the following articles:
- Conversations - Decide whom you'll allow to converse with you; how you'd like to be notified of contact.
- Following - Keep up with activities of another community member without necessarily creating contact (i.e., friendship) with him/her.
- Friendship settings - Add, remove, or make requests for friend relationships.
- Status messages - Customize a general message that anyone who has the status message capability can see.
- Status message replies - Leave a response to a user's status message.
