Clik here to view.In Telligent Community 6.0, search is now faceted, meaning you can drill down to the results that are most meaningful to you by using filters for places (such as everywhere, blogs, files, forums, wiks); groups, or users. For more technical information about search, see this article.
Example search
The following example shows a search for the term "sample." The result shows filters you can use to narrow your search on the left pane.

If you click the filter "Blog," the results narrow down only display any blogs or blog posts containing the word "sample."

If you have multiple results, you may want to change your list view to see the most current or most relevant results first. To do this, you would select a sort option on the sort options drop-down list. Choices include most relevant, most recent, alphabetical, and highest rating.

You can search using multiple terms, and you can also use search syntax to narrow your results. For example you can use specify a wiki article title and wiki ID using the following syntax:
title:"search syntax" wiki:314
This particular search will find any article containing "search syntax" in its title within wiki number 314.
Another example is to locate all blog posts containing a specific tag:
type:blog tag:community
This search will find any blog content having the tag "community."
If you use the same name for an 'application/place' and a 'post' when you create a group, you might see the results show twice in the search results page as shown below. This is because Telligent Community is counting the application/place twice.
