The IP Address Tracking page contains settings for tracking the IP addresses of users who post content to your site. This is a useful security feature when users post offensive content or you have cause to ban a user.
To track IP addresses:
Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Advanced Configuration > IP Address Tracking.

Set the IP Address Tracking page properties:
Enable Tracking of Post IP Address - If enabled, stores the IP address of the user who published content on the site.
Display Poster IP Address Publicly - If enabled, displays the IP address of the user who published content.
Display Post IP Address only to Administrators & Moderators - If enabled, only administrators and moderators can view the IP address of the user who published content.
Click Save to apply the settings.
